About Us

What is TOM?
Time Out Mission (or TOM) is focused on bringing health to the church through unity and meaningful relationships across denominational divides, encouraging people into a place of intimacy with God, empowering the believer, and reaching the world through love and creative mission.

Vision Statement
To see the church united as a radiant bride, passionately in love with Jesus, and living life to the full, where every believer is empowered and released into their mission, so that the Kingdom of God is advanced in the land we live bringing radical change to every level of society.

We believe there is a cry from Heaven for the Bride to make herself ready as in Revelation 19:7, where the emphasis of our Christian experience is upon a love relationship with Jesus and intimacy with Him, as well as a love shared with each other. So many of our problems either in church life or as individuals can arise from a lack of intimacy with the Lord. This new expression of church is about a journey into the depths and mysteries of all that God is, in the belief that as we discover Him more, we also discover more about our true self and the work he has for us to do. This new expression is not so much functional as it is relational. It is about taking new ways forward by taking the old ways back: A new wineskin into which a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit can be poured out. A culture where permission is granted to be different and expressive. A church that isn’t centred around buildings or Sunday services to survive because the life of the church is ongoing and organic. A church that isn’t attractional in its approach to mission, but incarnational (i.e. it takes church to the people, not people to the church). A church where finances do not determine what can and cannot be done. A church where the supernatural becomes the natural and where signs and wonders demonstrate the involvement and imminence of God. A church where everyone belongs and is encouraged to dream big and a church that is regional not denominational.

More about TOM
We believe in ‘geographical Church’. That is, as Watchman Nee would say…’the Church of the ground’.It’s vision is to see the Body of Christ throughout the world realise the unfulfilled prayer and dream of Jesus which He cried out to His Father and is recorded  for us in John 17 v 21 and 23.  “Father! ….I pray….that they might be one… completely one…. even as We are one. I in You and You in Me and We in them…….that the world might believe! ”A experience of such unity within the Body, especially at leadership level, and in the pursuit of ‘intimacy’ both with Him and with one another,  would release from heaven such a measure of ‘blessing’, of favour and supernatural power and authority (Ps 133)  not seen since the days of the early Church. This was when they had…..”all things in common and no-one had any need because no-one called his possessions his own. Great grace was upon them…and the apostles performed many mighty miracles, signs and wonders among the people”.As a world wide organisation, it also seeks to serve and partner with other leaders and ministries in the Body of Christ as they preach the Gospel of the Kingdom and seek to bring transformation to their communities and nations. Our heavenly Father desires above all else, to bring in the rule and order of the Kingdom of God here upon earth. That is why we pray…’Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’…We want to see ‘transformation’ come to whole communities and even nations. He said ..’’Occupy till I come!’ (Luke 19 v 13  ) and while we await His coming, we are to expect to see the power of the transforming Gospel influence every area of local and national life. However, Scripture also records that both…”the Spirit and the Bride say Come!” (Rev 22 v 17). The Spirit has always been saying ‘Come!’ but unfortunately the Bride is not saying ‘Come!’ She doesn’t know she is a bride! This is a Movement that seeks passionately to make Her aware of Her Bridal Identity and prepare Her for His coming as the Bridegroom King

TOM is growing
As a movement and ministry we are always on the move seeking to advance the Kingdom of God by developing new relationships with indigenous church leadership and assist in the work of restoring church unity, encouraging intimacy, empower the believer and reaching the world through love and creative mission.

Part of our philosophy is to identify and empower key individuals who the Lord has called and prepared to champion the cause in their own nation and region. We do this in a number of ways, for examply this could be through organising a Body and the Bride conference to address immediate regional church needs and where necessary begin the work of reconciliation and healing a broken regional body which can so often prevail. This work of reconciliation provides the corporate foundation upon which empowerment can come and effective mission can take place.

Equally we are committed to prioritise the importance of the individual and encourage and empower people to reach their highest potential in God through a lifestyle of intimacy with God and spiritual discipline. It is this two-tier approach which characterises Time Out Mission and positions it as a relevant mission with a significant voice and contribution to make in these turbulent times.
